Day 1: To Istanbul

Embark on your journey as you board a flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our dedicated driver / representative will warmly welcome you and provide a private transfer to your Istanbul hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 - 3: Istanbul

Day 4: Istanbul to Cappadocia

Cappadocia Depart from your Istanbul hotel as we transfer you to Istanbul airport. Fly to Cappadocia, where our local driver (representative) will greet you at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport. Enjoy a private transfer to your Cappadocia hotel.

Day 5: Cappadocia Fairy Chimneys & Göreme Tour

After breakfast our tour guide will pick you up around 9 am from your hotel for a full day small group tour which includes a visit to the Devrent Valley to see the unique ‘fairy chimneys’ and Pashabagi to see the fascinating mushroom shaped Pinnacles. After lunch at Avanos visit the ancient rock-cut churches and Christian settlements of the Göreme Open Air Museum before finally heading to see the natural castle of Üçhisar. Drop off at your hotel at approximately 17:00pm.

(If you have booked a Hot Air Balloon ride, we recommend scheduling it for the first morning of your arrival. This allows flexibility to reschedule on subsequent days if weather conditions prevent flying. For the Hot Air Balloon experience, you will be picked up early in the morning around 5:00 AM. The flight lasts approximately one hour, and you will return to your hotel by around 8:30 AM. Make sure to have breakfast before your Tour Guide picks you up from the hotel for your first-day tour.)

Day 6: Rose Valley and Kaymakli Underground City Tour

After breakfast our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel around 9 am. You will enjoy another full day small group tour that includes a visit to the Red Valley to explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 5km through the Gulludere Valley. Visit Cavusin with its famous houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch visit Pigeon Valley and then the underground city of Kaymakli, which was home to the early Christians, and finish the day with a visit to the natural castle of Ortahisar. Drop off at your hotel at approximately 17:00pm.

Day 7: Ilhara Valley and Derinkuyu Underground City Tour

After breakfast our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel around 9 am and enjoy a third small group tour, this time visiting the huge underground city of Derinkuyu carved out of the rock by the early Christians, continuing to the beautiful Ihlara Valley where you will hike 4km through the valley exploring the hidden churches. After lunch finish with a visit to the Selime Monastery, than return to your hotel at approximately 17:00pm.

Day 8: Cappadocia to your chosen Gulet Cruise

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and private transfer to the Cappadocia airport for flying via Istanbul to Dalaman (your luggage will go directly to your final destination, you will be transferred by your hand luggage to another airplane in Istanbul). On arrivall you will be met by our representative and private transfer to your chosen Gulet Cruise.

Cappadocia’s landscape was formed around 30 million years ago when volcanic activity left the region blanketed with ash. Hot-air Balloon Tours from £250 per person

Cappadocia is known around the world as one of the best places to fly with hot-air balloons. The spectacular surrealistic landscape, combined with excellent flying conditions, allows the balloons to gently drift over and between fairy chimneys and pigeon houses hewn from the unique rock formations, through beautiful orchards and vineyards and impressive valleys with distinctive rock formations and features – and then float up over rippled ravines for breath-taking views across the region.

"A week's trip on Perla del Mar captained by Mustafa, with chef Dohan, and crew Cem, Emre and Meric turned out to be the best family holiday we had ever booked. Akin's recommendation of the boat was spot on. Dohan's menu and cooking was absolutely excellent. The crew went out of their way to assist us at every opportunity and their care and attention to the children on the trip was exemplary. There wasn't a single fault that on the whole trip, the transfers worked perfectly, the crew were there to greet us at Marmaris and led us through the alleys to the waterside where the amazing boat in front of us was to be ours for a week. We were all taken aback and realised that Mum's mad dream was coming to fruition. A holiday found by google, sold to us by Akin who took the trouble to explain everything turned out to be beyond the dreams of all of us. Canoeing in quiet coves, swimming and snorkelling to our hearts content then served with drinks and snacks before amazing meals and enjoying the trips between coves became the order of each day. " We went to Diamond Star experience because they offer multi-centre holidays and had good ratings. We were in no way disappointed with what was organised. We said that we wanted a few days in Athens and then a week on a relatively quiet island. Akin made a proposal (Athens then Naxos) and then, when we agreed, organised everything. The Athens hotel was central and accessible to the main sites and to restaurants, and was of very good quality. The choice of Naxos for the island was equally good and we stayed in an excellent three star hotel on the edge of the town within easy reach of the beach and restaurants. All transfers were efficiently organised and even when there was a transport hiccup (our fault!) there was a phone call from the Athens back-up team within the hour to find out what had happened.
