Where is Hydra?

Hydra lies between the Saronic and Argolic Gulfs, directly across from Metochi in the Peloponnese. It’s situated 37 nautical miles (approximately 68 kilometers) from Athens. The island is accessible both from Athens and the Peloponnese, with daily ferry connections from the port of Piraeus—often more than 10 departures per day in the high season (around 1 and half hour by ferryboat from Athens).
Hydra covers an area of 65 square kilometers, stretching roughly 20 kilometers in length. Its highest point is Mount Eros, which

There are regular ferry and/or catamaran services between Mykonos and the port of Piraeus (Athens), Heraklion (Crete), Santorini, Paros and Naxos, daily domestic flights to Athens and charter flights to the UK.

Approx. 10 minutes’ transfer from Mykonos International Airport to the town, approx. 5 km away.
