Sample itinerary: 7 night 2 centre holiday based on 3 nights in Istanbul + 4 nights in Cappadocia.

Istanbul and Cappadocia holidays are a great choice when visiting Turkey. The contrasting experiences of Istanbul and Cappadocia deliver a diverse holiday you will remember forever. Both Istanbul and Cappadocia are steeped in history, culture and heritage. The stunning landscapes, ancient historic cities and unique hotels in Cappadocia are amazing and when you add the stunning sites in Istanbul to your holiday you are in for an incredible experience.
Cappadocia & Istanbul twin centre holidays are the perfect combination for an amazing holiday in Turkey. A stay in historic Istanbul combined with fairytale Cappadocia is a great mix which will provide a fabulous experience. Day 1: UK to Istanbul.
Fly to Istanbul and meet our English-speaking driver (representative) in Istanbul airport for private transfer to your chosen hotel.

Day 2 - 3: Istanbul.
Choose to explore the city independently or book a sightseeing tour through in advance. Please click here to see all optional Istanbul Tours here>
f you choose to explore the city on your own phase, don’t forget to visit the most important popular sites of Istanbul, including St Sophia Museum (mosque), Byzantine Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Dolmabahce Palace and Grand Bazaar. On your second day, you should book a local Bosphorus Cruise and sail between 2 continents, on your right-side Asia and on your left side Europe. Over nights in Istanbul.

Day 4: Istanbul to Cappadocia.
Private transfer back to Istanbul airport for your internal flight to Cappadocia – we will meet you in Cappadocia (Kayseri) airport for private transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 5: Fairy Chimneys & Göreme Tour.
Cappadocia is huge, therefore we include your regular tours automatically, with a small group of around 10 to 15 people. (It is not advisable to tour yourself the transportations in Cappadocia not easy and it can be very costly). On your first day, after breakfast our tour guide will pick you up around 9am from your hotel for a full day small group tour which includes a visit to the Devrent Valley to see the unique ‘fairy chimneys’ and Pashabagi to see the fascinating mushroom shaped Pinnacles and stop some local restaurant for lunch. After lunch at Avanos visit the ancient rock-cut churches and Christian settlements of the Göreme Open Air Museum before finally heading to see the natural castle of Üçhisar. Finally, our guide will drop off you at your hotel at approximately 17:00pm.

Day 6: Rose Valley and Kaymakli Underground City Tour.
on your second day, after breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel around 9am again. You will enjoy another full day small group tour that includes a visit to the Red Valley to explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 5km through the Gulludere Valley. Visit Cavusin with its famous houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch visit Pigeon Valley and then the underground city of Kaymakli, which was home to the early Christians, and finish the day with a visit to the natural castle of Ortahisar. Drop off at your hotel at approximately 17:00pm.

Day 7: Ihlara Valley and Derinkuyu Underground City Tour.
On your 3 ^rd day, after breakfast our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel around 9am and enjoy a third small group tour, this time visiting the huge underground city of Derinkuyu carved out of the rock by the early Christians, continuing on to the beautiful Ihlara Valley where you will hike 4km exploring the valley's hidden churches. After lunch finish with a visit to the Selime Monastery, then return to your hotel at approximately 17:00pm.

Day 8: Cappadocia to the UK.
Our driver or representative will pick you up from your hotel for your private transfer to the airport and your flight back to the UK via Istanbul. (your luggage will go directly to your final destination in the UK, you will be transferred with your hand luggage to another plane in Istanbul).

Please note if you have walking difficulties and prefer not to participate every walking in Cappadocia, please tell the Guide and you can stay in nearest café or in Minibus till everybody return.

Cappadocia

Cappadocia’s landscape was formed around 30 million years ago when volcanic activity left the region blanketed with ash. The ash solidified into what is known as ‘volcanic tuff’, this is an easily eroded material and as it wore away over many years, it left the distinctive rock formations seen in Cappadocia today.

Hot-air Balloon Tours

Cappadocia is known around the world as one of the best places to fly with hot-air balloons. "A week's trip on Perla del Mar captained by Mustafa, with chef Dohan, and crew Cem, Emre and Meric turned out to be the best family holiday we had ever booked. Akin's recommendation of the boat was spot on. Dohan's menu and cooking was absolutely excellent. The crew went out of their way to assist us at every opportunity and their care and attention to the children on the trip was exemplary. There wasn't a single fault that on the whole trip, the transfers worked perfectly, the crew were there to greet us at Marmaris and led us through the alleys to the waterside where the amazing boat in front of us was to be ours for a week. We were all taken aback and realised that Mum's mad dream was coming to fruition. A holiday found by google, sold to us by Akin who took the trouble to explain everything turned out to be beyond the dreams of all of us. Canoeing in quiet coves, swimming and snorkelling to our hearts content then served with drinks and snacks before amazing meals and enjoying the trips between coves became the order of each day. " We went to Diamond Star experience because they offer multi-centre holidays and had good ratings. We were in no way disappointed with what was organised. We said that we wanted a few days in Athens and then a week on a relatively quiet island. Akin made a proposal (Athens then Naxos) and then, when we agreed, organised everything. The Athens hotel was central and accessible to the main sites and to restaurants, and was of very good quality. The choice of Naxos for the island was equally good and we stayed in an excellent three star hotel on the edge of the town within easy reach of the beach and restaurants. All transfers were efficiently organised and even when there was a transport hiccup (our fault!) there was a phone call from the Athens back-up team within the hour to find out what had happened.
