Total 10 nights: 3 nights High Atlas Mountains + 3 nights Marrakech + 4 nights Coast
A fantastic, relaxing holiday, combining a stay in Marrakech with a visit to the High Atlas Mountains and ending with a few days in the coast.
Day 1 (High Atlas Mountains)
Fly to Marrakech direct from the UK. Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to The High Atlas Mountains and check in to your chosen hotel.
Day 2 & 3 (High Atlas Mountains)
Spend the day at leisure, exploring independently or take an optional ramble and sightseeing tour
accompanied by a Moroccan mountain guide. These take approximately 5½ hours and should be suitable for anyone who leads a reasonably active life. They allow you to explore the stunning mountain scenery and gain an insight into the local Berber culture.
Visit mountain fortresses, strongholds and villages and witness the age-old industries of salt-mining and olive oil pressing.
Day 4 (Marrakech)
After breakfast depart the High Atlas Mountains for the hour’s drive to Marrakech and check into your chosen hotel.
Day 5 (Marrakech)
After breakfast take an optional half day tour to visit the historic sites of old Marrakech including the impressive Almohad Koutoubia Minaret; the Menara Gardens; the lavishly-decorated Saadien Tombs; the Badii Palace and the labyrinth of narrow alleys which make up the renowned souqs finishing your tour in the vibrant Jemaa el Fna Square. Lunch and afternoon at leisure or you can choose to extend your tour to a full day tour including lunch.
Day 6 (Marrakech)
Spend the day at leisure.
Day 7 (Marrakech to Essaouira or Agadir)
After breakfast depart Marrakech for Essaouira or Agadir and check into your chosen hotel.
Day 8 - 10 (Essaouira or Agadir)
Spend your time relaxing, exploring the narrow streets of the medina independently, visiting the souq with its enticing array of local crafts or admiring the impressive views from the ancient fortress.
Day 11 (Return to UK)
Transfer from Coast to nearest International Airport for your flight back to the UK.
