Zante – Kefalonia – Ithaca – Meganisi – Lefkas – Zante

This Ionian sailing itinerary is designed exclusively for private hire, meaning your group enjoys the entire gulet and crew to yourselves. Unlike a cabin charter, there are no shared guests onboard — giving you greater flexibility, privacy and the freedom to shape the rhythm of each day. Swim stops, time ashore and evening plans can be adjusted in consultation with your captain, always subject to weather and sea conditions.

This is a relaxed, authentic sailing experience focused on beautiful scenery, traditional harbours and unspoilt bays rather than luxury cruising.

Day 1: Zante – Agios Nikolaos

Your private charter begins on Zakynthos (Zante). As this is embarkation day and departure is scheduled after sunset, you have time to explore the island before boarding. You may wish to stroll through Zakynthos Town, visit the Byzantine Museum, or explore the protected waters of the National Marine Park in Laganas Bay.In the evening, you will settle into your cabins and enjoy dinner onboard as we gently cruise north towards Agios Nikolaos. Please note: In rare cases of delayed arrivals or port restrictions, departure may be adjusted to the following morning.

Day 2: Agios Nikolaos – Agia Efimia

The Ionian Islands are known for their lush, green landscapes — olive groves, forested hills and hidden coves washed by clear turquoise waters. After a relaxed morning and a possible swim stop, we sail towards Agia Efimia on Kefalonia. This peaceful harbour village is ideal for an evening stroll along the waterfront promenade, where traditional tavernas serve fresh seafood and local specialities as the sun sets over the bay.

Day 3: Agia Efimia – Ithaca (Vathi)

Today we cross to Ithaca, the legendary homeland of Odysseus. Along the way, we anchor in secluded bays perfect for swimming and snorkelling in crystal-clear waters. We arrive in Vathi, Ithaca’s charming harbour town framed by green hills and pastel-coloured houses. Depending on sea conditions and your group’s preferences, there may also be the opportunity to explore nearby coastal highlights of Kefalonia, including picturesque villages and well-known beaches. Day 4: Ithaca – Meganisi

We continue towards Meganisi, a quieter and lesser-known Ionian island offering peaceful anchorages and dramatic coastal scenery. After lunch onboard, enjoy time to swim, snorkel or relax in a secluded bay. Later, you may explore a small traditional village or choose to dine ashore at a simple seaside taverna. A private charter allows you to decide how you would like to spend your evening — whether enjoying the tranquillity onboard or stepping ashore for local hospitality. Optional experience available upon request: Lefkas olive oil tasting.

Day 5: Meganisi – Fiskardo

We sail towards Fiskardo on Kefalonia, one of the Ionian’s most picturesque harbour villages. Known for its colourful Venetian-style houses and relaxed waterfront atmosphere, Fiskardo offers a wonderful setting for the day. You may choose to explore hidden coves, relax at a café overlooking the harbour, or wander through the narrow streets before enjoying fresh seafood at one of the local tavernas.

Day 6: Fiskardo – Poros

Sailing south along Kefalonia’s coastline, we pause at secluded bays and sea caves ideal for swimming. The coastline here is varied and scenic, with clear waters and sheltered anchorages. We arrive in Poros, set in a wide horseshoe-shaped bay backed by cypress and olive trees. Its lively promenade offers cafés and tavernas for a relaxed evening ashore. Overnight in a sheltered bay or harbour, depending on conditions. Optional experience available upon request: Lefkas olive oil tasting.

Day 7: Poros – Zante

Before returning to Zakynthos, we enjoy one final swim stop, often at the famous Shipwreck Beach (Navagio), weather permitting. Its dramatic cliffs and striking turquoise waters provide a memorable highlight of the cruise. We then cruise back to Zakynthos Town Marina for our final evening onboard, where a Captain’s Dinner is served as a farewell to your Ionian sailing experience. Optional experience available upon request: Zante Greek Night.

Day 8: Zante – Departure

After breakfast, disembarkation takes place in Zakynthos. Your private Ionian sailing journey comes to an end, taking with you memories of secluded bays, relaxed island evenings and time shared at sea.

Cruise & Itinerary Notes

Cruise Type
This private charter operates on a standard traditional gulet with compact cabins and limited air conditioning availability. The focus is on an authentic sailing experience rather than luxury cruising.

Port Tax
An additional port tax of €150 per person is payable locally, usually in cash upon arrival.

Itinerary Flexibility
The planned itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, harbour availability or unforeseen circumstances. The captain has sole discretion in these matters, with safety always as the priority.

Overnight A/C Upgrade (£200 per night between 00:00 – 08:00)
For guests seeking additional comfort during warmer months, extended overnight air conditioning use is available as an optional upgrade.

Food & Drink

Your cruise operates on a Half Board basis, with freshly prepared breakfast and lunch served onboard each day. Meals are simple, wholesome and designed to complement relaxed days at sea.

Evenings are spent ashore in different harbour towns, giving you the opportunity to enjoy dinner in carefully chosen local restaurants and experience authentic Greek cuisine.

Drinks are not included in the cruise rate and are payable locally onboard.
