Running on Waves – Luxury Tall Ship Cruising
Running on Waves is an elegant 64-metre, three-masted barquentine
that combines the romance of traditional sailing with the comfort
and attentive service of a luxury small ship.
Accommodating no more than 42 guests in just 18 cabins, and cared
for by a professional crew of 21, she offers an intimate and highly
personalised cruising experience. Her sails are central to the
adventure, creating the atmosphere of a true ocean-going sailing
yacht as she journeys between the Mediterranean’s beautiful
islands, harbours and coastal destinations.
There is an exceptional amount of outdoor space for so few guests.
Expansive teak decks feature comfortable sun loungers, shaded
seating areas and plenty of quiet corners from which to enjoy the
passing scenery. Guests can relax in the Jacuzzi at the bow or
linger over Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and cocktails at the
Ocean Bar.
Life aboard Running on Waves is closely connected to the sea.
Her hydraulic swimming platform provides direct access to the
water for swimming and watersports, while her relatively compact
size allows her to reach secluded anchorages and smaller harbours
that are inaccessible to conventional cruise ships.
Every cabin is outside-facing, with either windows or portholes.
Amenities include individually controlled air conditioning, a
private marble-finished bathroom, television and media system,
safe and refrigerator. Accommodation ranges from comfortable
Tween Deck cabins to larger cabins and suites on the Main Deck.
