Day 1 – Saturday, Valetta, Malta
Embarkation at the port of Valletta begins at 14:00 (late embarkation can be arranged by contacting our reservations department). After the safety drill demonstration, join us at the restaurant for a welcome cocktail and dinner. Overnight in Valletta.
Day 2 – Sunday, Valetta - Gozo Island - Syracuse
In the morning, the boat departs Valletta port, heading to Malta’s beloved Gozo Island. Famous for the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ggantija temples, these are some of the oldest free-standing megalithic monuments in the world, dating back 5500 years. Enjoy a refreshing morning swim in the serene Maltese waters before having lunch on board. Early in the afternoon, it has been arrived at Gozo Island, where you will have free time to explore and enjoy dinner ashore. After dinner, the ship sets sail for the next destination: the glorious Sicily.
Day 3 – Monday, Syracuse - Lipari, Italy
At 7 am, the vessel docks at Trapani, an idyllic coastal enclave steeped in maritime history. Explore the charming old town and lively harbor, filled with the legacy of its seafaring past. Navigate cobblestone streets adorned with pastel facades, discovering hidden gems like quaint piazzas and ornate churches. Alternatively, join the optional tour to the medieval town of Erice, offering panoramic views and iconic landmarks like the Castle of Venus. Enjoy leisurely moments at the port, relishing lunch at your own pace. As evening approaches, savor a sumptuous dinner onboard!
Day 4 - Tuesday, Lipari, Italy
After a leisurely breakfast, spend your day on deck, soaking up the sun and the refreshing sea breeze. The boat will sail around Stromboli, one of the seven volcanic islands in the Aeolian Archipelago off Sicily’s northern coast. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the world’s most active volcanoes, having continuously erupted for nearly 2500 years.
It has been anchored at Lipari Island around noon. Before its included BBQ lunch on board, the chef will share the recipe for the Pesto a la Trapanese dip! The afternoon is free for you to explore Lipari at your leisure and enjoy dinner ashore. The boat overnights at Lipari.
Day 5 – Wednesday, Liapri - Catania, Sicily
After breakfast, join the optional tour to Quattrochi Belvedere, Quattropani, and the Lipari Castle. Enjoy lunch at your leisure. At 7:30 pm, join the included Wine Tasting Experience, featuring a delightful selection of Italian and Greek wines, perfectly preparing your palate for the 4-course dinner served on board.
Day 6 – Thursday, Catania, Sicily
The boat will reach Catania early in the morning. Enjoy some relaxing moments on deck as it is approached the port, just before breakfast. Join the optional tour through the diverse landscapes of Mt. Etna's southern slopes, reaching heights of 2000 meters. The tour includes wine tasting and lunch. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. Tonight, it is invited you to the Captain’s Italian Night Dinner, featuring delicious Italian dishes and music. The boat will overnight in Catania.
Day 7 – Friday, Catania, Sicily
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast. For assistance with airport or hotel transfers, speak with your Cruise Manager in the morning, ideally providing your preferred transfer time 24 hours in advance. Join our optional tour to explore Catania, Sicily’s second-largest city, founded by the Greeks in the 8th century B.C. at the foot of Europe's highest volcano. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore or have lunch on your own. Our boat departs Catania around 6 PM.
Day 8 - Saturday, Valetta , Malta
We arrive in Valetta at 7:30 am. Have a leisurely breakfast with your fellow travelers. Your Cruise Manager will be on hand to help with your pre-booked transfers. We can't wait to welcome you back on another Small Ship Cruises journey around the globe!
