Kelebek Special Cave Hotel is nestled in the heart of Cappadocia, in the village of Göreme. Offering breathtaking views of the town, Red and Rose Valleys, Göreme Sunset Point, Uçhisar Castle, and Pigeon Valley, Kelebek is the perfect choice for those seeking a unique experience in Cappadocia.

Established in 1993, Kelebek Hotel was originally the home of the owner, Ali Yavuz. It began as a small guest house with just four rooms, but over time, Ali expanded it by restoring and integrating neighboring houses. Today, Kelebek features 37 rooms, some of which are uniquely carved into ancient caves dating back to the 8th century, originally created by early Christians seeking refuge from Roman persecution.

The hotel offers stunning views of the valleys and the town, and guests can enjoy watching the hot air balloons from most of the rooms and terraces. Located within walking distance of Göreme Open Air Museum and the town center, Kelebek provides easy access to many of the region's attractions.

Amenities at Kelebek include a swimming pool, a Turkish bath and sauna, and an à la carte restaurant. The hotel also offers concierge services, allowing guests to book activities like hot air balloon rides directly through reception. Guests also have access to the famous rooftop at our sister hotel, Sultan Cave Suites, for an unforgettable balloon-watching experience. Next door, Seten Restaurant offers fine Anatolian dining.

We emphasize local culture and traditions, offering activities like grape harvesting and cooking classes through our travel agency, Göreme Kelebek Travel. These activities take place in our organic Anatolian farm, preserving the rich heritage of the region.

For a traditional experience, visit its Hamam . After changing into a Pestemal (a traditional towel), you'll enter the Sicaklik (hot room), where the soothing steam and the sound of splashing water help you unwind. We recommend bringing a swimsuit for added comfort.

Start your day with a visit to one of the most beautiful valleys in Cappadocia. Join Ali Yavuz for an organic breakfast on his family farm in the Valley of the Kings. This tour includes a tractor-driven wagon ride through fairy chimneys and stunning views of Göreme. You’ll arrive at a peaceful organic farm that has been in Yavuz’s family for 400 years. Here, enjoy a delicious breakfast made from fresh, organic produce, farm-fresh eggs, homemade jams, and local honey, all served in a serene setting.

Standard Double Room

Presidential Suite

This suite is distinguished by its private hot tub and cozy fireplace. With a private entrance, the air-conditioned suite includes a living room, a separate bedroom, and a spacious bathroom featuring both a bathtub and a shower. Guests can relax in the comfortable seating area and enjoy garden views, with a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee maker, and wardrobe adding to the suite's amenities. The suite is designed for a relaxing stay and offers one bed.

Fairy Chimney Suites 26

This suite’s defining feature is its cozy fireplace. With a private entrance, this air-conditioned suite includes a living room, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom equipped with a shower and hairdryer. Guests will enjoy a comfortable seating area, a wardrobe, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. A complimentary bottle of wine or champagne adds a special touch to the experience. The suite accommodates up to two beds.

The name Cappadocia is thought to mean ‘land of beautiful horses’ and in Roman times the brood mares from Cappadocia were very highly prized indeed.

Eerily resembling a moonscape, soft volcanic rock has sculpted caves, clefts and the magical ‘fairy chimneys’.

Cappadocia is known around the world as one of the best places to fly with hot-air balloons. The spectacular surrealistic landscape, combined with excellent flying conditions, allows the balloons to gently drift over and between fairy chimneys and pigeon houses hewn from the unique rock formations, through beautiful orchards and vineyards and impressive valleys with distinctive rock formations and features – and then float up over rippled ravines for breath-taking views across the region.

"A week's trip on Perla del Mar captained by Mustafa, with chef Dohan, and crew Cem, Emre and Meric turned out to be the best family holiday we had ever booked. Akin's recommendation of the boat was spot on. Dohan's menu and cooking was absolutely excellent. The crew went out of their way to assist us at every opportunity and their care and attention to the children on the trip was exemplary. There wasn't a single fault that on the whole trip, the transfers worked perfectly, the crew were there to greet us at Marmaris and led us through the alleys to the waterside where the amazing boat in front of us was to be ours for a week. We were all taken aback and realised that Mum's mad dream was coming to fruition. A holiday found by google, sold to us by Akin who took the trouble to explain everything turned out to be beyond the dreams of all of us. Canoeing in quiet coves, swimming and snorkelling to our hearts content then served with drinks and snacks before amazing meals and enjoying the trips between coves became the order of each day. " We went to Diamond Star experience because they offer multi-centre holidays and had good ratings. We were in no way disappointed with what was organised. We said that we wanted a few days in Athens and then a week on a relatively quiet island. Akin made a proposal (Athens then Naxos) and then, when we agreed, organised everything. The Athens hotel was central and accessible to the main sites and to restaurants, and was of very good quality. The choice of Naxos for the island was equally good and we stayed in an excellent three star hotel on the edge of the town within easy reach of the beach and restaurants. All transfers were efficiently organised and even when there was a transport hiccup (our fault!) there was a phone call from the Athens back-up team within the hour to find out what had happened.
