As evening falls, we set sail and cross the Corinth Canal by night, an unforgettable experience as the ship glides through this remarkable engineering landmark. A welcome dinner will be served on board, followed by an overnight sail.
Pre-cruise suggestion:
Lavrion is not only the closest port to Athens International Airport but also a town with a fascinating past. Once a thriving mining centre, Lavrion still retains a distinctive charm. Located on a small bay opposite the island of Makronissos, which was once used as an exile site for political prisoners, the town offers interesting historical and cultural sights. For a more relaxed visit, take a stroll around Lavrion Marina, where waterfront cafés and traditional seafood tavernas provide the perfect setting to begin or end your journey.
Day 2 – Ithaca
Before reaching Ithaca, we pause for a refreshing swim stop in a peaceful cove, surrounded by calm, crystal-clear waters. Take time to swim, relax, or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the Ionian Sea. Lunch will be served on board as we continue sailing towards Ithaca.
In the early afternoon we arrive at this legendary island, celebrated as the homeland of Odysseus. Rich in mythology and natural beauty, Ithaca offers a peaceful atmosphere and charming harbour villages. Overnight in Ithaca.
