The Hotel Meri occupies the most idyllic spot in the famous Ölüdeniz National Park, nestling into the pine-clad hillside, overlooking the famous lagoon. Situated at the end of Ölüdeniz beach, it is set apart from the bustling resort centre and yet only a short walk from its many attractions.

The Hotel Meri’s attractive gardens lead down past the swimming pool, the bar and the restaurant to the sandy beach of the lagoon. Try hiring one of the hotel’s canoes or pedalos (extra charge applies) and really explore the beauty of this area or simply enjoy swimming in the clear turquoise sea.

The rooms are set over the extensive grounds, some close to the pool and others on the hillside, so the hotel is not suitable for those with walking difficulties. The shady gardens, fine sand and the shallow warm waters of the lagoon make this hotel particularly popular with families with younger children. We have rated this hotel with 3 stars plus due to its incomparable location, but the rooms are simply decorated offering accommodation of a 3 star standard.

Named after its famous lagoon, which translates literally as ‘dead sea’, the scenery of this resort is some of the most breath-taking in the whole of Turkey. High pine-clad mountains surround an idyllic bay with a long swathe of pale shingle and coarse sand leading to the protected National Park area of the lagoon with its sandy beach to one end. It is a spectacularly romantic setting, which could be why so many couples choose to get married here.

Ölüdeniz is also the perfect resort for a laid-back beach holiday and La Boutique Maya is an excellent accommodation choice. It is a popular resort with numerous lively bars, restaurants and shops alongside the seafront promenade but still retaining an individual charm.
