This historic palace overlooking the bay of Portoroz continues to provide the best in elegant luxury and faultless service.

Built in 1910 by the Habsburgs as a summer residence, this grand palace originally played host to royalty and the aristocracy. These days it is the perfect choice for a luxurious holiday with all the trimmings. You can choose whether to stay in one of the elegantly designed classic rooms of the palace itself, or the more contemporary style rooms in the newer section.

The extravagant buffet breakfast is served in the magnificent Crystal Hall Ballroom until 12pm and even includes strawberries and champagne for the ultimate indulgence.

The impressive lobby, with its stylish bar, is the ideal spot to relax with your favourite tipple.

The hotel is in a splendid setting, overlooking the bay of Portoroz, and boasts an impressive indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a sumptuous spa and a choice of elegant bars and restaurants.

Piran is the perfect spot for a relaxed summer holiday - spend your days enjoying the beautiful Adriatic coast, swimming in the clear waters and soaking up the sun. Wander the streets of the beautiful medieval town, with its grand Venetian architecture. The ambience is sleepy and it is a fantastic place to while away the hours. Meander through narrow alleys and winding streets, coming upon impressive squares. Take a walk along the old city walls and admire the views over the peninsula, offering a panoramic vista of the coast.
Just a short drive down the coast, is the larger resort of Portoroz, the ‘city of flowers’, which became a favourite of the Habsburg aristocracy, who built the grand Kempinski Palace here in 1910. They came for the therapeutic spa treatments which still attract visitors today. Its palm-lined promenade runs the length of the resort, with its man-made sandy beach. It offers a good standard of hotel accommodation and some excellent restaurants.

"A week's trip on Perla del Mar captained by Mustafa, with chef Dohan, and crew Cem, Emre and Meric turned out to be the best family holiday we had ever booked. Akin's recommendation of the boat was spot on. Dohan's menu and cooking was absolutely excellent. The crew went out of their way to assist us at every opportunity and their care and attention to the children on the trip was exemplary. There wasn't a single fault that on the whole trip, the transfers worked perfectly, the crew were there to greet us at Marmaris and led us through the alleys to the waterside where the amazing boat in front of us was to be ours for a week. We were all taken aback and realised that Mum's mad dream was coming to fruition. A holiday found by google, sold to us by Akin who took the trouble to explain everything turned out to be beyond the dreams of all of us. Canoeing in quiet coves, swimming and snorkelling to our hearts content then served with drinks and snacks before amazing meals and enjoying the trips between coves became the order of each day. " We went to Diamond Star experience because they offer multi-centre holidays and had good ratings. We were in no way disappointed with what was organised. We said that we wanted a few days in Athens and then a week on a relatively quiet island. Akin made a proposal (Athens then Naxos) and then, when we agreed, organised everything. The Athens hotel was central and accessible to the main sites and to restaurants, and was of very good quality. The choice of Naxos for the island was equally good and we stayed in an excellent three star hotel on the edge of the town within easy reach of the beach and restaurants. All transfers were efficiently organised and even when there was a transport hiccup (our fault!) there was a phone call from the Athens back-up team within the hour to find out what had happened.
