One of Ljubljana’s most historic buildings, this grand hotel offers a good standard of accommodation in a convenient location.
The Grand Hotel Union first opened in 1905, when it was known as one of the best hotels in Europe, and still retains its popularity today. It now consists of two hotels - the Grand Hotel Union in the original Secession building and the Grand Hotel Union Business in a newer building which is joined to it.
The rooms in the Grand Hotel Union are designed in the Art Nouveau style, whilst the Executive rooms in the Grand Hotel Union Business are more modern in feel. Both buildings share the same facilities.
The hotel has a spacious restaurant where breakfast is served as an open buffet, and it also boasts an indoor swimming pool, which is on one of the higher floors, with great views over the old town. Perfect to relax after a busy day’s sightseeing.
The hotel is set just a few minutes’ walk from Ljubljana’s main square, in an ideal location for shopping, sightseeing and simply soaking up the atmosphere of the old town.
