The excitement and anticipation of your upcoming gulet cruise will likely increase as you board your plane and head to Turkey. After landing at Dalaman airport you will be greeted by our representatives and take a private transfer directly to the beautiful Gulet. The crew will welcome your party on board with warmth and smiles at which point you will need to remove your shoes. It is bare feet all the way from here as you are not allowed to wear shoes in the Gulet. Most of our clients remark on how great it feels to be free of shoes for their Gulet. Do not worry, you can wear them on excursions etc. After checking in to your cabin and meeting with the other holidaymakers the excitement of the journey ahead becomes more intense.
In most cases the Gulet cruises will spend the first night in the harbour to ensure all arrivals are on board and ready to go. A wonderful dinner and delicious Turkish breakfast it is time to set sail for the heart of the Mediterranean. After a few hours of sailing, your Gulet Captain will take you to the most amazing spots for some swimming and lunch.
After lunch you will head off for another beautiful blue spot to anchor the Gulet for swimming, dinner and overnight stay.

They will take you to a myriad of beautiful areas and unspoilt bays normally not accessible from the land. They are simply stunning. Every stop arrives and you think this is the most beautiful place until the following day where you anchor in an even more beautiful area. The world is your oyster, jump in the crystal clear Mediterranean waters, catch some rays on deck or find some shade and dive in to your favourite novel – you can enjoy you Gulet cruise however you like.
One of the highlights of Gulet Cruise is the food. The professional chefs carefully prepared traditional Turkish cuisine is a delight and one of the reasons our clients can’t wait to book another Gulet escape. Then there is the drink which includes good quality Turkish wines, Efes Bears, and more traditional Raki, national Turkish drinks. Don’t worry, there are soft drinks as well.
If you are doing the cruise between Fethiye and Marmaris or vice versa, there is a must do trip to take…the Dalyan Trip. This fun day starts in the morning till return to Gulet on evening. It is extra around £20 per person includes a professional guide who is the captain of a small boat which comes in the morning and picks up all the guests from Gulet and returns to the Gulet in the evening. The Gulet is too big for the river the trip sails down so the smaller boat is required. It is a great experience meandering up the river taking in the scenic views of the coastline and mountains. Not to mention the amazing ancient ruins chiselled into the mountains.
The guide will tell you all about these ancient sights and the civilisations that built them, their daily lives and their tombs located on top of a cliff. First stop on this trip is the ancient Lycian city of Kaunos.
After exploring the ruins, the scenic journey continues and eventually arrives in the town of Dalyan for lunch break. You enjoy lunch in an impressive restaurant on the river overlooking the ancient tombs on the cliff. After lunch, you head to a popular part of the trip…a fabulous mud bath. This is great fun, you will cover all your body including your face with the nourishing mud which is great for your skin. Nature’s very own spa treatment will leave your skin feeling baby-soft!
After mud baths you will cruise between bulrushes on the delta of the Dalyan river, an awesome adventure. Then you will finally get to the mouth of the river where you can often see huge Caretta Caretta sea turtles. Fingers crossed you get to see these beautiful creatures. At the end of the day, you will get off the boat straight to the sandy beach of Iztuzu. You will have a chance to swim in the Mediterranean Sea and soak up the sun. The beach is a breeding ground for turtles, so be careful because you may meet them here – it is a quite an adventure! After some free time, it is back on the boat and over to the Gulet.
After a great fun day, you deserve a nice Turkish dinner which will be ready and waiting for you as you get back on board.
The following days are spent swimming, snorkelling, and canoeing, as well as visiting small villages and towns. After a fabulous trip you will sadly come to the end of your trip, but before you head home there will be a last evening where your Gulet will anchor and you have free time to explore the town and do your last shopping. You will have your last dinner on harbour and after good sleep, and breakfast, it comes the hardest part, leaving from Gulet. You will feel like you are leaving your family behind, during this amazing week, all crews worked tirelessly and make sure you will have a wonderful experience and taste of proper Turkish hospitality. During the cruise, you will find all other guests become your friends. Many Guests keep in touch and the following year they hire the Gulet privately just for themselves.
